Insurance products are offered by Angie Garner of The Annuity Couple, a licensed insurance agent specializing in annuities.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you answer our questionnaire or use the consultation request page, we collect your name, email address, phone number and ZIP code. We also collect your answers to our questions, such as your age range, state, retirement savings range and where it is held, retirement timeline, marital status and priorities, whether you already work with a financial advisor, whether you checked the SMS consent box, and the details of any appointment you book.

Information collected automatically. When you visit this website, we collect the pages you view, the buttons and links you click, how you scroll and move through each page, what you type into form fields, your device and browser type, your approximate location based on your IP address, and the ad or link that brought you here.

How we use your information

• To review your request and contact you about it by phone or email, and by text message only if you opted in.
• To pass your request to Angie Garner so they can hold the consultation you asked for.
• To schedule your consultation and remind you about it.
• To find and fix problems with this website and make it easier to use.
• To measure how well our advertising works.
• To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

This website uses cookies and similar browser storage to remember your visit and to run the tools below.

PostHog analytics and session recording

We use PostHog to understand how visitors use this website. PostHog records page views, clicks and session recordings, which are replays of how you moved through a page. Our session recordings do not hide form fields, so they capture what you type, including your name, email address and phone number, even before you submit a form. We use recordings only to find problems and improve these pages.

Meta Pixel

This website may use the Meta Pixel, an advertising tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). We turn it on only when we advertise on Meta. When it is on, it tells Meta which pages you visited and whether you sent a request or booked a call, so we can measure and improve our ads. To match this to your Meta account, the email address, phone number, name and ZIP code you give us are sent to Meta in a scrambled (hashed) form. Your quiz answers are never sent. Meta may connect this with your Meta account under its own privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of this website may then not work as expected. You can manage the ads you see in your Meta account settings.

How we share information

We share information only as described below.

• Your consultation and follow-up. Angie & James Garner, INC operates this website and its text messaging program using the brand name The Annuity Couple. Angie Garner, our licensed insurance agent specializing in annuities, uses your contact details and answers to prepare for and follow up on the consultation you requested. We send text messages about your request only if you opt in.
• Our customer relationship management system. We use your contact details and consultation request in our customer relationship management system to manage your request and follow-up. We send text messages only if you opt in.
• Appointment booking. We arrange your consultation by phone or email and confirm a time on our calendar. Online booking is not available on this website yet. We use your contact details only to arrange and follow up on the consultation you requested.
• Other service providers that help us run this website, such as PostHog for analytics and our website host.
• Meta, through the Meta Pixel, when it is turned on as described above.
• When the law requires it, such as to answer a valid legal request.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some state privacy laws may treat the Meta Pixel as "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. Your text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties, as explained in the next section.

Text messaging (SMS) opt-in

You can opt in to text messages from Angie & James Garner, INC by checking the optional SMS consent box on our questionnaire form or on our consultation request page. The box is not pre-checked, and you do not need to check it to submit the questionnaire. Providing your phone number alone does not opt you in to text messages.

If you opt in, we use your mobile number to send informational messages about your consultation request, including request confirmations, appointment scheduling links, appointment reminders and follow-up about your consultation. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or email angie@garnerwealthgroup.com. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. We will confirm your opt-out and stop sending text messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Angie & James Garner, INC uses your phone number to contact you about and arrange the consultation you requested. Angie Garner handles your consultation as part of our company. We send text messages only if you opt in, never for marketing or promotional purposes.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, provide the consultation, comply with legal obligations and maintain business records.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email angie@garnerwealthgroup.com or reply to any message from us. To stop text messages, reply STOP.

Depending on where you live, your state's privacy law may give you more rights, such as the right to opt out of targeted advertising. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Age requirement

This website is meant for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to submit a request or opt in to text messages. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security and updates

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website or system is completely secure. We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
